The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is on a roll, scoring an impressive seven nominations for the 2014 Jameson Empire Awards. This annual awards show recognizes both British and international films, and the Hobbit sequel is leading the way with the nominations. The critically acclaimed film is up for Best Film and Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy, and several actors are nominated as well. Martin Freeman has a Best Actor nod for his role as Bilbo Baggins, while Richard Armitage is up for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Thorin.  Actress Evangeline Lilly scored a Best Supporting Actress nomination and the film’s director, Peter Jackson, also got a nod. Finally, Aidan Turner received a nomination for Best Male Newcomer. How many of these awards will the film win? Tune in March 30th to find out!
