New behind-the-scenes video for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

The latest production video for  Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey takes us on another wild, behind-the-scenes ride. Beginning at the official Hobbit post-production studio in Wellington, New Zealand, Jackson gives us a personal invite to meet the different teams responsible for the film’s painstaking special effects work. Taking us back and forth between New Zealand and the U.K., we get access to everything, from Jackson’s final editing suite to how the ‘department of internal beards’ were able to perfect capturing the individual hairs of the dwarves’ bushy beards. We eventually even get a glimpse of the how post-production team likes to party. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be in theaters on December 14. ~Brandon Bastaldo
