To mark the release of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Empire magazine has dedicated December’s cover to all things The Hobbit. There are four special edition covers to choose from on the newsstands and a special cover for subscribers only. The covers available on the newsstands include individual shots of Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage), Gandalf the Grey (Ian McKellen), Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) and Bard the Bowman (Luke Evans). The special subscribers cover includes a group shot of all four.
