The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Annual 2013, one of many Hobbit tie-in books, was released today. Including photos of Gandalf, Elrond, Galadriel and all thirteen dwarfs, whom fans and the public alike have already had the pleasure of seeing, the book also offers a first peek of characters Thranduil the Elvenking and Saruman the White. In the movie, Thranduil will be played by Lee Pace, famous for his leading role on ABC’s Pushing Daises — but he can also be seen in the final Twilight installment, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2. With this on top of his appearance in the biographical drama, Lincoln — alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tommy Lee Jones and Daniel Day-Lewis — it seems as though Pace will be a household name in no time. Already signed on for all three installments of the Hobbit trilogy, Pace will join veteran actor Christopher Lee, reprising his role as Saruman, whom he also played in all three Lord of the Rings films. ~Morgan Bates
