Academy Award-winning director Peter Jackson is set to have an exciting December. Not only is the final installment of his Hobbit trilogy—The Battle of the Five Armies just weeks away from opening, but he’s also getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on December 8, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The star will be unveiled outside the venue for the Academy Awards, The Dolby Theatre.

While discussing the honor, Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies, announced, “We are very happy to honor such an esteemed filmmaker as Peter Jackson with a star on the Walk of Fame.” She praised his work by adding, “His groundbreaking and award-winning films are part of the legacy of larger-than-life, Hollywood-style entertainment that is beloved the world over.” The ceremony will feature Gollum actor Andy Serkis as a guest speaker and is expected to include franchise stars such as Orlando Bloom, Evangeline Lilly, Lee Pace, Luke Evans, Richard Armitage and Elijah Wood in attendance.
